Bullying. Is it really about “boys being boys”? Have you ever been bullied or witnessed this conduct-disordered behavior?
In response to the bullying epidemic in our state, the Arizona Prevention Resource Center (APRC) spearheaded a partnership committed to keep Arizona schools safe through the evidence-based Olweus Bully Prevention Program.
APRC History
In 1989, in response to the growing problem of substance abuse, Arizona State University (ASU) proposed the development of a statewide Prevention Resource Center. This vision brought together the three major state agencies dealing with substance abuse prevention training and information. Along with ASU, the core partner agencies that created the Arizona Prevention Resource Center were the Governor's Office of Drug Policy, the Arizona Department of Health Services and the Arizona Department of Education. In June 1990 the Arizona Board of Regents authorized ASU to estabish the Arizona Prevention Resource Center.
